Begin deze week kon je hier lezen dat de films ‘Mangal Pandey, The rising’ en ‘Salaam Namaste’ in de Pathé bioscopen te zien zijn. Ook de film ‘Black’ met Amitabh Bachchan en Rani Mukherjee is te zien in Nederlandse bioscopen. Vanaf vandaag (18 augustus) is de film te zien in vier Pathé bioscopen in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Den Haag en Groningen.
Black van Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is begin dit jaar uitgekomen en gaat over de 40 jaar oude Michelle McNally (Rani Mukherjee). Michelle is “speciaal†op meer dan één manier. Ze is doof en blind. Ze bewoont de wereld van het oneindige ZWART, een wereld die beangstigend is in zijn complete afgelegenheid. Zij probeert zich te ontwikkelen en voltooit met behulp van haar leraar (Amitabh Bachchan) uiteindelijk een universitaire opleiding. Alleen in Bollywood is zo’n verhaallijn niet dramatisch genoeg en wordt er nog een fysieke afwijking aan toegevoegd: in Black gaat de leraar van de studente aan Parkinson tenonder. Met veel overdrijving steunen de twee elkaar in een fraaie, duistere omgeving.

Volgens mij is BLACK een remake van Miracle Worker !!! zoo dacht echt dat het origineel was .. nu te zien op net5!!
