Bollywood actrice Rekha heeft afgelopen week een Lifetime Achievement Award ontvangen tijdens het Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF). Een van de aanwezigen was de Amerikaanse ‘Fast and The Furious’ acteur Tyrese Gibson. Tyrese reageerde later vol lof op de prijs voor Rekha en ging met haar op de foto. Op Instagram plaatste hij dit bericht:
“She’s such a legend the biggest female actress of Bollywood over 180 movies she was honored tonight with a lifetime achievement award at the Dubai international film festival – Bhanurekha Ganesan Aka her performance name is Mrs Rekha – blessings and an honor to meet you….. sending love and ligh to the Indians around the WORLD!!!! I love you!!!”
Naast haar Lifetime Achievement Award heeft de Bollywood actrice in het verleden 3 andere Filmfare Awards gewonnen; 2 Best Actress Awards en 1 Best Supporting Actress Award.
She is my favorite bollywood actrice since my childwood!! Met her 3 times in Holland iffa award 2005 and film festival 2004 in The Hague Holland
