Bollywood superster Amitabh Bachchan krijgt op 19 Juli een universitaire onderscheiding in Leicester . Duizenden fans kijken vol verwachting uit naar de gebeurtenis. De Engelse stad Leicester heeft een groot aantal inwoners die van Indiase origine zijn. De stad heeft ook diverse bioscopen die uitsluitend Indiase films vertonen.
De ‘Montfort University’ in Leicester, die elk jaar een aanzienlijk aantal studenten uit India aantrekt, zal de ‘the Honorary Doctor of Arts’ onderscheiding aan Amitabh Bachchan uitreiken als erkenning voor zijn lange en indrukwekkende filmcarrière. Volgens een woordvoerder van de Universiteit is Amitabh Bachchan een beroemde persoonlijkheid in de ‘creative industries’ en is zijn energie en proffessionalisme een inspiratie voor hun studenten, afgestudeerden en met name diegenen die een carrière in de filmindustrie ambiëren. Amitabh Bachchan is now Dr. Amitabh Bachchan

Its great news for Amitabh Bachchan’s fan as their favorite actor
will be honored by the Leicester University with an honorary degree of
Doctorate of Arts for his contribution to the movie business in India.
Being an ambassador for UNICEF Amitabh will receive the degree at the
graduation ceremony of the De Montford University at Leicester. The
ceremony will be on July 19. It is believed that Bachchan will address
his fans at a special event at the Walkers Stadium at Filbert Way.
Former South African President Nelson Mandela was the last person to
achieve that recognition for his charitable work.
The legend has to be recognised in particular ways!
